The World Wide Web is booming, and it was about time Google became clear with its policies relevant to Search Engine Optimization. Let’s sit back, and for a moment, ignore all those lengthy protocols and algorithms, and talk about getting your business on the first page of Google. Now, imagining there are no protocols and algorithms to help you in your distressing situation, you may look towards alternate routes to get your startup venture on the first page. So, where do we exactly start?
Firstly, get your website in order. Nope, it’s not 1999 anymore, and no one likes static websites with only content and ads that resemble the days of Jurassic Park. As an analyst, I have come across several sites that deal with taxation, revenue, govt. policies, and much more. Even with all the important information, these sites lack on an engaging interface, thus missing out on the chance to create sustained traffic. Therefore, your first priority should be the interface.
Secondly, get your website structure sorted. Dealing in ecommerce? Make sure to take a clue or two from the mother-ship, Amazon. Anyone visiting your site in the initial stages of your business should be hooked to the idea, to the potential of your idea, and to what you have to offer in the near future. Categorization, proper linking, and an impeccable content are necessary to give an engaging and impressive look to your website. So, concentrate your resources there!
Last, but not the least (ignore the cliché) is getting your content in order. Sometime in the future (we are still assuming that the algorithms have not been invented) there would be the rise of keyboards. So, if you are selling mobile phones, jewelry, or a nuclear bomb, make sure you make yourselves heard through your content. Now, don’t be careless to assume that only amateurs would be visiting your site. Content written in a structured, grammatically impeccable, and influencing manner often garners the attention and curiosity of the user. So, make sure your pen is mightier than the sword.
Coming back to the present, with your three-step SEO Strategy implemented along with Google’s invention of SEO. Fortunately, you did all things right, and the god of search engines, Google, would be able to get your business where it rightfully deserves to be, but don’t take those algorithms and keyword density ratios for granted because like God, even Google can help those who first help themselves.
