Our Lohri celebration at Deftsoft in 2016 was a happy moment of our vibrant culture and team spirit, marked by the warmth of the bonfire, the beat of the dhol, and the sparkle in the eyes of the team members. With the arrival of the first big festival of the year, our Mohali office became a festive hub full of colour, music and the feeling of togetherness.
Our team came in with sunny ethnic dresses in bright colors, kurtas, salwar-kameez, turbans, and other traditional accessories, and it was time to celebrate this harvest festival to the full extent. They had decorated the venue jovially with garlands of marigolds and colourful drapes, and a happy rangoli greeted all. When the sun began to set, a fire was lit, a sign of the coziness of society and the potential of more days of sunshine.
Our management embraced everyone, no matter the effort, determination, or happy disposition each member has brought to Deftsoft. After that, the fun started: folk music was heard, people were dancing and laughing together, and the team's members were sitting around the fire singing, dancing, and sharing snacks. The corn-roasted, jaggery-sweet delicacies and popcorn served were not only tasty but also part of a tradition of thanking God for abundance and new beginnings.
Extra consideration to our time of unity: workmates regaling stories, taking pictures under the Christmas lights, sitting around the fire and being a team. This was not only a party but also a reaffirmation of our culture at Deftsoft. Our event was not only about fun: we demonstrated our faith in unity, respect for tradition and our eagerness for the future.
The cheerfulness, the warmth, the companionship lingered with us as we closed Lohri 2016. We walked out of the event motivated, bonded and thankful, and we will bring the same energy to our projects, our partnerships and our future. Hereby it is to the festival of Lohri, to the Deftsoft family, and to lots more good times of mutual bliss and prosperity.
